Date Sold 1/15/2012 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 11 set reference test photos for The Bad Man, the 1941 Richard Thorpe south-of-the-border cowboy western starring Wallace Beery ("His great NEW 1941 thrill drama!"; "Based on the play by Porter Emerson Browne"), Lionel Barrymore, Laraine Day, Ronald Reagan (very young in this role!; long time movie actor who later became President of the United States!), Henry Travers, and Chill Wills. Note that all of these reference set photos measure 8" x 10". Some of them have a visible clapboard in the image that gives the details about the movie and some do not (most of them have the clapboard). The studios would use these images for reference if they needed to shoot additional footage at a later time after the set was taken down. Almost all of the photos have "RETURN TO PROPERTY DEPT. METRO GOLDWYN MAYER" stamped on the back. Condition: very good to fine. The photos are generally in nice condition!
