An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Rocketship X-M ("*Expedition Moon"), the 1950 Kurt Neumann science fiction (sci-fi) space thriller ("The screen's First story of man's conquest of space!"; "Expedition Moon"; "The Future is Here!"; "See Strange planets! Strange People! See Man's greatest dream come true! See a moon's-eye view of the Earth!") starring Lloyd Bridges, Osa Massen, John Emery, Noah Beery Jr., Hugh O'Brian, and Morris Ankrum. Note that, because of post-production issues (and the fact that this movie was rushed though production in 18 days) this film beat George Pal's Destination Moon to theaters by a few weeks, and became the "screen's first story of man's conquest of space". Condition: good to very good. >The poster had a silver dollar-sized area of paper loss at the center crossfold, but luckily, it was solely in the solid blue area below the "X" of the title. There was paper loss at some other crossfolds and there are creases, small tears, and some small areas of paper loss on some foldlines. There is a diagonal crease that runs from the crossfold below the "X" of the title across to the crossfold in Beery's left shoulder. There were some pinholes, creases, smudges, and tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but you can see some signs of the restoration of the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
