An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Jezebel, the 1938 William Wyler historical American South romantic love triangle melodrama ("No one could forget the girl with the sweetest lips in Dixie... and the wickedest heart in all the world!"; "The South's greatest romance"; "She was meanest when she was lovin' most"; "From the Play by Owen Davis, Sr."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; set in the American South before the Civil War, and Bette Davis is a very spoiled southern belle who drives away the man who truly loves her because she is so spoiled, but after he marries, she vows to win him back, but is it too late?) starring Bette Davis (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; "The greatest actress of the screen..."), Henry Fonda, George Brent, Margaret Lindsay, Donald Crisp, Fay Bainter (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Richard Cromwell, Henry O'Neill, Spring Byington, John Litel, Irving Pichel, Matthew 'Stymie' Beard (star of numerous "Our Gang" shorts, and one of the first black African American actors to achieve success in mainstream sound movies), and Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. The card has a vertical crease at a very slight diagonal running from the center of the top border down through Davis' hair in the middle of her ear, and through her neck and arm, into the bottom border. There were some pinholes in the borders and there were two small tears in the top border. There were a few faint creases around the edges of the card and a very few in Davis' image. Some very talented restorer pressed and flattened the card, and repaired the two small tears with conservation tape from the reverse, and also put a thin strip of conservation tape on the back of the fold. They did extremely slight touch up to the front of the card. Since the card was in nice condition other than the above exact defects prior to restoration, the result is a card that looks fantastic! When looked at straight on, you see faint evidence of the vertical crease, but otherwise, the card looks wonderful, and there is very little actual restoration to the card. I can't imagine a collector who would not love to have this wonderful card displayed on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
