Date Sold 11/26/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Checkers, the 1919 Richard Stanton silent racetrack sports horse racing gambling romantic comedy ("The great racing drama"; "The sensational stage success"; based on the Henry Martyn Blossom novel and play; about a man who makes his living as a race track tout, which is someone who sells tips on which horses will win to people at the track; he hates his life and stops, but when the girl he loves, who is a female jockey, needs help, he resumes his old profession in order to get her the money) starring Thomas Carrigan (in the title role as Checkers), Jean Acker, Julien Beaubien, Ellen Cassidy, Robert Elliott, and Tammany Young. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is very rare. We have only auctioned a single one-sheet poster and two lobby cards for this movie until we were consigned these two scene cards (and we have not auctioned these particular cards before!). Condition: good. Both have been folded down the center vertically at one time and have a few faint stains scattered in various areas. The card pictured at bottom has some scratches at center.
