He is best remembered for his book "Roots", which was a major bestseller and was a super successful TV mini series. His works include The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Super Fly T.N.T., Roots: The Next Generation, Queen, and Mama Flora's Family. Her passed away in 1992 at the age of 70. Important Added Info: Note that this book has been personally autographed (signed) by Alex Haley (it was inscribed with a long handwritten inscription in 1978 to Angela Snead, who was a member of a prominent Los Angeles African American family, and the book also contains one of Angela's printed note cards [not pictured])! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
