An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) A Broken Doll, the 1921 Allan Dwan silent romantic melodrama ("From the story 'Johnny Cucabod' by Wilbur Hall") starring Monte Blue, Mary Thurman, Mary Jane Irving, Les Bates, and Lizette Thorne. Note that leading lady Mary Thurman had been a school teacher who became a Mack Sennett Bathing Beauty whose career started to take off, but sadly, she caught pneumonia in 1925, at age 30, and passed away. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges. Condition: good. There is replacement tape over much of the borders. There is a diagonal crack in the back pane of glass in the lower right corner, but it does not affect the image.
