Diana, Princess of Wales (born Diana Spencer) was a member of the British royal family as the first wife of Charles, Princess of Wales, the heir apparent to the British throne. With Charles she had two sons, princes William and Harry. She was known for her charity work, as well her bitter divorce from Prince Charles in 1996. Sadly, Diana was killed in a car accident in 1997. She was 36.
