Stedenko") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Scakisbrick Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned this cool poster before! The very first one-sheet for this classic comedy had in its original campaign, the tagline that says, "DON'T go straight to see this movie!" Paramount was accused of promoting drug use, and issued all-new posters with a new tagline, but THIS half subway poster still has that tagline and is clearly from the first campaign of this movie! Note also that around this time, studios were creating "subway posters" for many releases, which were 45" x 60" horizontally-shaped posters that were glued up on walls all over New York City (hence the name "subway poster"). They also made these smaller "subway" posters which measure approximately half the size of a regular "subway" poster (usually around 29" x 45"), and look like a one-sheet, only bigger, but they have information about one or more specific New York theaters then-currently showing that movie. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few tears and some paper loss in the lower right blank border and some blank corner loss at upper left.
