An Advertising Poster (measures 10 1/2" x 15 3/4" [27 x 40 cm]) (Learn More) Mail Pouch Tobacco, which is a brand of chewing tobacco produced by Bloch Brothers Tobacco Company in Wheeling, West Virginia since 1879. Mail Pouch was a popular chew advertised on thousands of barns, most of which were located in the rural Ohio Valley. Each barn had an end or side painted with the tobacco logo. The brothers began manufacturing stogies and discovered that the left-over stogie clippings could be flavored and packaged in a paper bag. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this special poster (which has great art of a Samoan catching a shark with a rope noose) is on thin paper. It looks like it could have been removed from a magazine, but it is blank on the back. It has a tiny "No. 3" in the lower left corner and "LITHO IN U.S.A." in the lower right, so we think it is some sort of special advertising poster. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: fair. There is uneven darkening in the poster. There are stains, tears, and paper loss around the edges.
