An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14" x 21 1/2" [36 x 55 cm]) (Learn More) Touch of Evil, the classic 1958 Orson Welles Mexico drugs crooked policeman revenge crime film noir thriller ("The story of the strangest vengeance ever planned!"; based on the novel 'Badge of Evil' by Whit Masterson) starring Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh, Orson Welles, Joseph Calleia, Akim Tamiroff, Marlene Dietrich ("She felt his touch - once, and never forgot it!"), Zsa Zsa Gabor (Dietrich & Gabor billed as "'With Guest Stars' Marlene Dietrich, Zsa Zsa Gabor"), Joanna Moore, Akim Tamiroff, Valentin de Vargas, and Victor Millan. Note that this movie was re-released in 1998, finally re-edited to satisfy the changes Orson Welles requested in a memo he wrote to the studio right after its first release when he found out the film had been cut. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was folded across the middle and it had a second slightly diagonal fold above the regular one, with fine surface paper loss on that second fold. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
