An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 8 3/4" x 11 3/4") (Learn More) Close-Up ("a nearer point of view"; "A Magazine of Movie-Land"), the magazine that was published in the early 1920s. It appears to be a magazine that was published for studio "insiders" (like Variety), but apparently a weekly or bi-weekly magazine. We have only seen one issue, which is from March 5, 1923, and it is marked "Volume IX, Number 4", so obviously it had been published for a while. That issue has 18 pages and it has illustrated news stories about current movie stars, with a few ads from non-movie businesses (mostly clothing places, which makes us think the ads were directed at actors or studio employees). If anyone knows more about this magazine, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
