U.S. Marines, the 1941 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front military recruitment poster encouraging men to join the United States Marine Corp, and featuring art of a soldier holding a rifle and gesturing towards the viewer. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this war poster, and that was 10 years ago, when it sold for $586! Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tears, staining, and paper loss in the left of the bottom border, with the paper loss extending through the white border in a total width of around 6 inches, with the staining in the cream colored border above it. It had some scuffs scattered throughout the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
