An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French Opera Poster (measures 21 1/2" x 28 3/4") (Learn More) Le Cid, the 1885 French opera musical stage play production of Jules Massenet's classic opera which was performed at the Theatre National de l'Opera (now known as the Palais Garnier) in Paris, France. This opera consisted of 4 acts ("Theatre National de l'Opera"; "Opera en quatre Actes") Artist: G. Clairio Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. There is a faint horizontal water stain in the bottom left corner of the image (in the lower part of the man's costume), and some tiny stains and smudges around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting.
