An Art Print (measures 18" x 47 3/4" [46 x 121 cm]) (Learn More) Tom Whalen's Universal Monsters, the 2013 limited edition art print folio that contained ten 18" x 24" individually numbered prints (8 individual prints + one very special 2-print diptych) prints by Tom Whalen, each individually screen printed, with all pieces encased in a Tom Whalen designed box. On each set, all of the prints were numbered except for the Frankenstein "teaser" print which was the only one signed by Tom Whalen. There were two editions of this set, the Standard Edition (with full-color prints) and the Variant Edition (which featured black and silver versions of the prints from the Standard Edition, printed with metallic inks). The Standard Edition was originally sold for $350 while the Variant Edition was $450, and both editions quickly sold out! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Tom Whalen Important Added Info: Note that this is one of the nine prints (and this is the special two print diptych) from the Standard Edition from the above set. We were consigned an entire set from someone who purchased it in 2013. We are auctioning each of the nine prints in nine separate auctions. The set came with the special printed box and a signed certificate of authenticity, and we aren't including those with any of the nine prints. However, after the nine auctions end, we will see which bidder purchased the most of the nine, and that person will be offered the box and certificate for free, if they pay the cost of shipping it (because it will need to be sent in a large flat package). If two people purchase the same number of prints, we will offer the box to the person who spends more, because that is only fair. Note that this item has been hand-numbered 164/230!
