An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Campaign Book (measures 9 1/4" x 12 1/4" [23 x 31 cm]; 30 pages) (Learn More)

Paramount 1939-40, the 1939 spiral-bound studio campaign book ("It's our year!") featuring images and information on upcoming Paramount feature films including Jamaica Inn and Beau Geste. There are three pages on the Fleischer Brothers' "Gulliver's Travels" cartoon, two pages on Popeye and other Fleischer cartoons, a page on Hopalong Cassidy, and much more. The book has a spiral binding, which allows the pages to easily be completely opened and the book can be laid completely flat. Note that even though this campaign book was sent to many theater owners, it appears that very few examples have survived. I have been a collector of campaign books and related material for many years, and I know for certain that this campaign book is extremely rare!

Important Added Info: Note that, sadly, the front cover, 20 interior pages, and two half pages are missing from campaign book. The portions that remain have some interesting pages, including a full-page Popeye image and a full-page Hopalong Cassidy ad, but please do not bid on this unless you can accept its very major defects.
