The poster includes "Instructions for Posting" on the back. ("For troops housed in barracks. One poster will be displayed prominently in each barrack."; "For troops housed in tents or hutments. One poster in day room, recreaction room, or other place where men congregate."; "The poster will be put up as soon as received, and will be left up for one month"; "Note: If poster titled 'They'd Give a Lot' [Army Conservation Project No. 66-E-16] is now posted, take it down and replace with this poster."; "The War Department is particularly anxious to focus attention on this program, and desires the cooperation of all higher commanders in accentuating its importance, and insuring that the instructions issued with each specific medium are properly executed"; "Distribution Six [6] posters per company, battery, troop, or similar unit, except such units under canvas or in hutments to which only one [1] poster per company or similar unit will be distributed") Artist: Maurer Important Added Info: Note that the poster has "instructions for posting" printed on the back (they make it clear that this poster was designed to be posted where troops were stationed). We have provided an image of each side, and please realize that the winner of this auction will receive ONE poster! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. There is a 7" L-shaped tear in the top center of the poster, going into the "OF" of "FOR". There is paper loss in all four corners, but almost all of it is in the blank borders. There are a couple of tears in the left border. The poster certainly needs restoration, but after a simple linenbacking and restoration of the above defects, the poster will look fantastic, and there will be almost no restoration anywhere in the image.
