Artist: Frank McCarthy Important Added Info: Note that we have been told that in between 1967 and 1980, the original artwork became damaged down the left side, so that when the studio went to make new one-sheets (see below), they had to use the image with a damaged left side! This is in the printing of the poster, and is not a defect. Note that this poster looks extremely similar to the first release poster from 1967 (it even has a 1967 copyright date on it). In 1980, United Artists re-released the early James Bond movies, and printed them from the same printing plates as the originals, but they can be easily distinguished from the originals because they are on a glossier paper stock, and also because they do not have the NSS information at the bottom right, and instead have the titles in all capitals. Condition: good. The poster has creases, scuffs and fine surface paper loss on the folds and a small foreign stamp at lower left. The poster was stored rolled and it does not lay flat, but that can be corrected by laying it under weight. Please bear these defects in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
