The Tall Target, the 1951 Anthony Mann historical mid-19th century attempted-Presidential-assassination crime suspense thriller ("A girl whose lovely hands were never meant to hold a gun!"; "You'll never see the target till the very end!"; "Story by George Worthing Yates and Geoffrey Homes"; based on the true story of the attempted assassination of Abraham Lincoln, after he was elected President, but before he was inaugurated; a New York City detective learns of the plot, and he can't get anyone to believe him, so he quits the force and on his own, he goes on the train that the President is on to try to find the would-be assassin!) starring Dick Powell, Paula Raymond, Adolphe Menjou, Marshall Thompson, Ruby Dee, Richard Rober, Will Geer, and Leslie Kimmell (uncredited; in the title role as Abraham Lincoln)

Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Note that the theater that used this poster glued the two pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used three-sheets).

Condition: good. There are several tape repairs on the back of the poster. There are many creases, several tears, and some areas of tiny paper loss along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some foldlines, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds.
