An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Divorce of Lady X, the 1938 Tim Whelan English romantic mistaken identity divorce lawyer comedy ("Xceedingly funny! That's the only way to describe it! And We Bet You'll Laugh Till You're Xhausted!"; "A Comedy in Technicolor"; "'Who was the Lady in room 315?' Mayfair boiled with gossip... as the frantic young woman-hater combed the town to find the nameless beauty who had stolen his pajamas and his bed."; "'Where were you on the night of January 22nd?'"; "And what kind of a hussy was she... stealing a stranger's book and his pajamas and his bed and not even leaving her name."; "Thanks for the use of your bed--"; produced by Alexander Korda; about a divorce lawyer who, due to a shortage of hotel rooms, shares his suite with a beautiful lady, and then believes her to be married, but he chases after her because he mistakenly believes she is the soon-to-be ex-wife of his newest client) starring Merle Oberon, Laurence Olivier, Binnie Barnes, Ralph Richardson, Morton Selten, and H.B. Hallam NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Gilbert Bundy Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card is from a special collection of 41 scene lobby cards, all of which are from Laurence Olivier movies (and each is in its own auction)! The collector who assembled this collection spent DECADES searching out scene cards from as many of Laurence Olivier's movies as he could find, and he always tried to find the best scene in the best condition, and he mostly found first release cards. 40 of the 41 cards show Olivier (most of them an excellent image of him). The one exception is the card from THE YELLOW TICKET, which does not show Olivier (it is extremely early in his career, and it is not clear how many cards, if any, he is shown on). This is a rare opportunity to acquire one or more scene cards of Laurence Olivier, who many have called the finest actor of all time! Condition: very good to fine. There is a small stain near the middle of the bottom border, but otherwise, the card is in nice condition! Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back of the card! Learn More about condition grades
