An Undated (probably 1950s or 1960s) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Hal B. Wallis was a legendary producer from the 1930s to the 1970s. He made many great crime and film noir movies, and just a few of his many successes include: I Walk Alone, Sorry Wrong Number, True Grit, and The Sons of Katie Elder. He was first married to actress Louise Fazenda, and then later to actress Martha Hyer. He passed away in 1986 at the age of 87. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Hal B. Wallis! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Note that we think it is extremely likely that this still is either from a 1950s theatrical re-release or from a 1960s TV re-release, because the paper quality is not consistent with that of a 1942 first release still, but it is consistent with that of 1950s and 1960s re-release stills (which are often unmarked). However, there is no saying that we are correct about this, and it is possible that this COULD be a 1942 still. But do not bid on this still thinking it is from 1942, because we believe it is from the 1950s or 1960s. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
