An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Daisy Kenyon, the 1947 Otto Preminger New York City romantic love triangle melodrama ("These Three Together... in a love only two can share!"; "20th Century Fox triumph!"; "Based on the Novel by Elizabeth Janeway"; about a female commercial artist who is having an affair with a married lawyer; she meets a World War II veteran who loves her, and she doesn't return his love, but she is getting older and feels her married lover will never leave his wife, so she marries the veteran, but then her married lover gets a divorce!) starring Joan Crawford (in the title role as Daisy Kenyon), Dana Andrews, Henry Fonda, Ruth Warrick, Martha Stewart, Peggy Ann Garner, Connie Marshall, Nicholas Joy, and Art Baker NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold that had tape on the back that bled through to the front in Crawford's forehead. It also had paper loss in her chin and some other tears and paper loss in the vertical fold that were once repaired with tape (including a 1 1/2" x 3" area that was cut out of the credits at bottom center, just below the "K" of "Kenyon". It also had tears and tape repairs around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Given the poster's many defects, the restorer did a pretty good job, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
