Appears in Vintage Hollywood Posters 8 CATALOG SOLD OUT The image at right appears in the auction catalog we published as shown above and was sold long ago and we do NOT have it available for purchase. 16 Original Vintage Theatrical English Movie Lobby Cards (measure 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Deer Hunter, the classic 1978 Michael Cimino (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) English/U.S. Vietnam War military thriller ("One of the most stunning and powerful films of all time."; "One of the most important and powerful films of all time!"; "Story by Michael Cimino & Deric Washburn and Louis Garfinkle & Quinn K. Redeker"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Robert De Niro (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), John Cazale (in his final movie role), John Savage, Meryl Streep (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Christopher Walken (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and Chuck Aspegren NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these English lobby cards feature far better images and design than their U.S. counterparts (and there are 16 of them as well!). I wish the U.S. lobby card designers had been more willing to create lobby cards with vertical images, split image, etc.! Condition: very good to fine. almost every card in this 16 card set has staple holes in the corners; many have a piece of conservation tape on the back of each corner covering the staple holes; the staple holes are all tiny and are not very noticeable at all from the front of each card; other than the staple holes, the cards are generally in quite nice condition! Two of the cards have an unusual oddity to them! Both have partial images (printed in blue only) of scenes from a Michael Caine film! It seems likely that those were part of a "test" printing for a different lobby set, and either accidentally or intentionally (perhaps because they were running out of paper), that paper was re-used to print these Deer Hunter lobby cards. Note that it is only 2 of the 16 cards that have this oddity (the scene of the men holding the casket and the scene of the men lined up at the wedding). Learn More about condition grades
