Searle Dawley silent medieval romantic woman-posing-as-a-man melodrama ("Daniel Frohman presents Cecilia Loftus in the popular novel and famous play A Lady of Quality by Frances Hodgson Burnett"; an early feminist work where the heroine is the younger daughter of an English lord who abandoned her, and when he meets her years later, he convinces her to pose as a man so that she can become his heir; she is befriended by one Lord, and seduced and abandoned by another, but ultimately, she resumes living as a woman, and marries the Lord who befriended her) starring Cecilia Loftus ("as 'Clorinda'"), Geraldine O'Brien, House Peters, Peter Lang, and Hal Clarendon. Note that in the early 1910s, many popular movies began to adapt classic literature, and the author of the source novel was also the writer of "Little Lord Fauntleroy", "The Little Princess", and "The Secret Garden", all of which reflected her dreams when she was a poor girl who wished she could be adopted by a rich man. Note that this movie was produced by Daniel Frohman for the Famous Players Film Company, Adolph Zukor, President. Shortly after this movie was made, those two gentlemen organized the Paramount Program, which gathered together top producers into a single distributorship, and in 1915, together with other top industry leaders, they formed Paramount Pictures! The poster had creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines, and a few small tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking (especially considering it is nearly 100 years old!). The poster was well backed, but something happened with the glue that holds the poster to the linen in the bottom center of the image, and it is starting to "lift" from the linen (any talented restorer could properly re-glue that area without re-backing the poster).
