An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Lily Pons was a French singer and actress from the 1920s to the 1970s. She was a real life opera star who was drafted into movies after the great success of Jeanette MacDonald, and for her first one, she was given "I Dream Too Much" in 1935, with music by Jerome Kern, who had composed the music for the hit movie "Roberta" the year before. But she only appeared in three more movies between 1935 and 1937, and then returned to opera singing. She passed away in 1976 at the age of 77. Important Added Info: Note that this portrait still is from the movie "I Dream Too Much". Also note that there is a printed snipe on the back of the still, describing the scene on the front.
