An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Chapter #11 (The Baited Trap) One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Roaring West ("[Of Land Rush Days!]"), the 1935 Ray Taylor cowboy western serial ("15 Blazing Chapters of Wild West Action!") starring Buck Jones, Muriel Evans, Eole Galli, William Desmond, Walter Miller, Frank McGlynn, Harland Knight, and Pat J. O'Brien (billed as "Pat O'Brien"). Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned some lobby cards and two glass slides from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top and bottom crossfold and tiny paper loss at the middle crossfold, with a few tiny bits of paper loss on small parts of the rest of the folds and a tiny sliver of paper loss in the horse's chest at bottom center. It had a few small stains in the lower left corner. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Any restorer could perform restoration to the above defects without re-backing the poster. Learn More about condition grades
