The first film in the series, Star Wars (which was later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope) was released in 1977 and became a worldwide phenomenon. It was followed by The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, and Return of the Jedi in 1983 (these three films are considered "the original trilogy"). The "prequel trilogy" (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones & The Revenge of the Sith) was released between 1999 and 2005. In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm and they began to release new Star Wars films including: The Force Awakens, Rogue One, The Last Jedi, Solo and more! The series has spawned books, television series, video games, comic books, toys, and many other products. Important Added Info: Note that all 140 of these slides are originals from the first three Star Wars movies only (with a higher percentage of them from the second and third movies). Of course, a dedicated fan could quickly tell which is from which movie by looking at them!
