A 1952 Re-Release Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) House of Horrors (released in Australia as "The Sinister Shadow"), the 1946 Jean Yarbrough Universal horror thriller ("Meet the Creeper!") starring Bill Goodwin, Robert Lowery, Virginia Grey, Martin Kosleck, Alan Napier, Joan Fulton, Rondo Hatton ("as The Creeper"), and Byron Foulger. Note that Rondo Hatton was afflicted with acromegaly, which is a chronic disease marked by enlargement of the bones of the extremities, face, and jaw. Hollywood saw in Hatton the chance to make money by exploiting the way the disease had distorted his features, and for several years prior to his death, he was a villain in several Universal horror movies. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this 1952 Realart re-release half-sheet, and that was 14 years ago! We are also currently auctioning a first release half-sheet (which we have never auctioned before) in a separate auction. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has tears of varying lengths around the edges and those (and some separation at the top of the vertical foldline and center horizontal fold edge) have been repaired with white plastic tape from the back. Someone crossed out part of the NSS at lower right and wrote "R52" in pen. There are light vertical creases scattered in various areas. Learn More about condition grades
