eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 4x972 VISITOR 1sh '79 wild horror art of giant eyeball w/monster hands holding bloody wire! Date Sold 4/28/2009Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Stridulum (released in the U.S. as "The Visitor"), the 1979 Giulio Paradisi (billed as "Michael J. Paradise") U.S./Italian science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy religious horror thriller ("They know we are here..."; "Her body carried Satan's child. The visitor had to stop her!"; "Story by Michael J. Paradise") starring Mel Ferrer, Glenn Ford, Lance Henriksen, John Huston, Joanne Nail, Sam Peckinpah (the famous director in a rare acting role!), Shelley Winters, and Paige Conner (billed as "introducing Paige Conner"). Note that this movie was made after the huge success of "The Omen", and several other movies had already come out imitating The Omen, but director Paradisi wanted this movie to top them all, and he somehow managed to get a bunch of famous Hollywood names to sign up (although Peckinpah was so doped up that he only showed up for one day of filming and his scenes had to be dubbed!), and there are all kinds of wild plot twists and special effects. The U.S. release of this movie was severely cut, which makes it pretty incoherent plotwise, but some people see this as a hidden pleasure regardless! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. There is some rippling and discoloration throughout the poster from exposure to moisture.
