A 1952 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) Cecil B. DeMille's Cleopatra, the 1934 Cecil B. DeMille historical ancient Egypt romantic love triangle desert epic ("'The Siren of the Nile'... Most famous woman of love who ever lived!"; "A love affair that shook the world, set in a spectacle of thrilling magnificence!"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Claudette Colbert (in the title role as Cleopatra), Warren William (as Julius Caesar), Henry Wilcoxon (as Marc Antony), Joseph Schildkraut (as King Herod), Ian Keith (as Octavian), C. Aubrey Smith, Gertrude Michael (as Calpurnia), Arthur Hohl (as Brutus), Edwin Maxwell (as Casca), Ian Maclaren (as Cassius), and David Niven (in his third role, uncredited in a bit part as a slave!). Note that there had been a 1917 silent version of this movie with Theda Bara in the leading role, and it was remade in 1963 with Elizabeth Taylor (and, of course, there have been many other depictions of Cleopatra in movies all through the years). Condition: good. darkening of the bottom 4" of the card; paper loss in the top left corner and a partially removed snipe over the top area; the card was hand folded across the center; some staple holes around the edges of the card This window card is in "lesser" condition (it is clearly in less than "very good" condition, and may be all the way down to "fair" condition, as we are selling a collection of early window cards that were found inside of a wall, and those all have water stains and other defects, which should be easily seen on our large images)! This window card has clear defects, which are likely to be very noticeable in our "large" or "super-sized" images that you can click on from our small image at right. In addition, we have also noted in words what these defects are in our "Description of Defects" section above, as some of these defects may not be all that visible in the images. We know that some collectors could accept this window card's defects, and display it as is, and we also know that many collectors would only be happy with this window card if they had it restored, so please do not bid on it unless you can accept it as it is, or are willing to pay to have it properly restored.
