He is only one of two people (the other being Marie Curie!) to be awarded Nobel Prizes in different fields: chemistry and the Nobel Peace Prize. He was a major advocate of the health benefits of vitamin C. He passed away in 1994 at the age of 93. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Linus Pauling! Our consignor wrote to Mr. Pauling at his address in California in 1983, asking questions for a school assignment and received this medical journal paper back, inscribed. Included with this signed article is the envelope it was returned to our consignor in. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
