An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More)

Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, the 1942 Mark Sandrich romantic love triangle musical comedy ("Lyrics and Music by Irving Berlin"; about two performers who opened a New England inn that is only open on holidays) starring Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Marjorie Reynolds, Virginia Dale, Walter Abel, and Louise Beavers. Note that this was the movie that introduced the Irving Berlin classic "White Christmas". It proved VERY popular, and in 1954, Paramount pretty much remade this movie as White Christmas, with Danny Kaye replacing Fred Astaire, and two new female leads, and that became an all-time Christmas classic!

Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and black tape, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the black tape or the edges of the slide well.

Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. The slide is in nice condition!
