Date Sold 11/26/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 3 Undated (probably 1920s) Re-Release (re-titled "Flames of 49" for this re-release) Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Half-Breed, the 1916 Allan Dwan silent Native American Indian romantic love triangle interracial romance melodrama (about a man who is half Native American Indian and he falls in love with a woman who doesn't mind his "mixed race" status, but he doesn't know that the town sheriff is his father, and the sheriff wants him dead to end his embarassment!) starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr., Alma Ruebens, Sam De Grasse, and Tom Wilson (a large white man who specialized in playing black roles in the early silent days when studios were reluctant to hire African Americans; he would put burnt cork on his face and skin!; he appeared in The Kid, but not in a black role) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a single lobby card (in 2003) and one glass slide from another re-release of this film, but NO other movie paper from it until we were consigned these three reissue lobby cards which have a re-release title of "Flames of '49".
