Because you won't sleep after you hear Maurice Chevalier tell A Bedtime Story"; a wild story about playboy Maurice Chevalier who is engaged, but still wants to play around, and then he is given Baby LeRoy to take care of, and that interferes with his plans!) starring Maurice Chevalier, Helen Twelvetrees, Edward Everett Horton, Adrienne Ames, Baby LeRoy (as Monsieur Baby), Betty Lorraine, Gertrude Michael, Earle Foxe, and Leah Ray. Note that this movie marked Baby LeRoy's entrance into show business, and he was just 6 months old when the film was filmed (not only could he not sign a contract, because he was underage, but his 16 year-old mother was also underage, and his grandfather had to sign his contract!). He was born Ronald Le Roy Overacker, and he appeared in a total of nine movies over the next two years, and is best remembered for his movies with W.C. Fields: It's a Gift, The Old Fashioned Way, and Tillie and Gus. He basically retired at the age of 4 in 1936. In 1940, it looked like he would have a "comeback" at the age of 8 when he was cast in the lead of "The Biscuit Eater", but he became ill during filming a water stunt, and he was quickly replaced by Billy Lee, with the promise from Paramount that he would get another movie, but he never did. He lived until 2001, passing away at the age of 69, without ever making another movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 28 STILLS, BUT ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 28 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the eight pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best eight stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
