An Original Vintage Linenbacked World War I Poster (measures 30 1/4" x 41 1/4" [77 x 105 cm]) (Learn More) And They Thought We Couldn't Fight, the 1919 U.S. post-World War I (WWI) War Bond poster ("Victory Liberty Loan") encouraging civilians to purchase war bonds (to help pay for the huge debts incurred during the war), and featuring Clyde Forsythe art of a rifle-wielding, wounded U.S. soldier holding three German helmets as trophies Artist: Clyde Forsythe Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had a diagonal crease in the bottom right corner and a 6" tear in the left of the bottom border, going into the tip of the "R" and into the top of the "Y" of "VICTORY".
