Date Sold 9/20/2018 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Shadow Returns, the 1946 Phil Rosen crime film noir murder mystery thriller sequel starring Kane Richmond (in the title role as the Shadow/Lamont Cranton), Barbara Reed, Tom Dugan, Joseph Crehan, Pierre Watkin, Robert Emmett Keane, Rebel Randall, and Emmett Vogan. Note that there had been some movies with The Shadow in the 1930s, and a movie called "The Shadow" in 1940. After a six year gap, they decided to resume the series with a new star, but they still called the movie "The Shadow Returns", and there were two more entries in the series that same year. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this a rare complete set of lobby cards for this movie! We have never auctioned a complete set of them in all of our years of auctioning. Condition: good to very good. Most have a few pinholes around the edges (and two have them at center - especially the card with the man getting punched). The card with Richmond going up the stairs has tape along the back of two edges (not put there for any restoration purpose) that slightly ripple the card. They are otherwise in pretty nice condition.
