Shirley Bassey is a Welsh singer from the 1950s to the present. She and her mother were both born in Wales, and her father was Nigerian. She has been called "one of the most popular female vocalists in Britain during the last half of the 20th century". She is perhaps best know in the U.S. for recording the theme songs to the James Bond films "Goldfinger", "Diamonds Are Forever", and "Moonraker". As of 2021, Shirley is still alive at the age of 84!
