Avdeenko Russian World War II (WWII) documentary ("Russia gives you a sensational new film"; "The full story of Germany's unspeakable crimes in the Ukraine... The swift and terrible vengeance of the Red Army... Made by 24 fighting cameramen"; "These are the victims"; "These are the avengers"; "These are the survivors"; "Official record of the great offensive") featuring Nicolai Vingranovski, Boris Andreev, Svetlana Jgoun, Adolf Hitler, Hermann Goring, Konstantin Rokossovsky, and narrated by Bill Downs. Note that Aleksandr Dovzhenko was a child of farmers who became a major Russian director. He made this documentary showing how brutal the Nazis had been in their attack on Russia, and how the Russians had heroically fought back the Nazis and greatly helped win World War II, but at the loss of millions of lives. Since America was still a close ally with Russia when this movie was made, it was glowingly released in the U.S. in 1944, but just a couple of years later, Russia would become America's bitter enemy, and new U.S. movies were made that denounced Russia! Important Added Info: Note that first release 1944 movie paper from this World War II movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a French poster and an Argentinean poster from this movie until we received this one-sheet! Condition: good. There is separation, small tears, and some small areas of paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds and in the vertical fold between those two. There are pinholes and some tears around the edges.
