An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Texas Ranger, the 1931 D. Ross Lederman cowboy western (from the story by Forrest Sheldon) starring Buck Jones ("The Screen's Greatest Western Star"), Carmelita Geraghty, Harry Woods, Ed Brady, and Nelson McDowell. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. There are pinholes in the corners and in the center of the top and bottom border. There was small paper loss in the bottom right blank corner and someone taped a piece of paper tape in its place to fill out the missing area. Other than the above, the card is in nice condition!
