Note that Cary Grant had announced his retirement from movies in 1953, but he was lured out of retirement by Hitchcock to make this one. Also note that Jessie Royce Landis, who had played Grant's mother in "North by Northwest", this time played his potential mother-in-law, and yet, she was only eight years older than Grant, who had aged very well! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these lobby cards measure 8 1/4" x 10 3/4" [21 x 27 cm], but have not been trimmed. Also note that these Swiss lobby cards were made by the distributor creating a set of identical stiff board printed backings with printed information about the movie, with a blank space for a still, and then they would attach a number of original stills to those boards, thus creating a set of Swiss lobby cards. Note that the board has metal grommets inserted into each corner, to make displaying of these Swiss lobby cards far easier. UPDATED 09/03/2012: Note that a knowledgeable collector tells us that these cards are from the 1970s first release and NOT a 1980s re-release as we initially listed. Condition: good to very good. There is a snipe over the title area in each card and there are some scuff marks scattered throughout (mostly around the edges). Overall, the cards are in generally nice condition.
