An Original 1974 (from the first release of this movie in the Czech Republic) Vintage Theatrical Folded Czechoslovakian Movie Poster (measures 11 1/4" x 16" [29 x 41 cm]) (Learn More) Janos vitez (released in the U.S. as "Johnny Corncob"), the 1973 Marcell Jankovics Hungarian animated fantasy adventure cartoon (based on the poem by Sandor Petofi, about a shepherd who returns from war to find his sweetheart dead, and he immediately leaves again to face death in dangerous circumstances, wanting to die so that he can be reunited with his love) featuring the voices of Gyorgy Cserhalmi, Aniko Nagy, Erzsi Partos, Antal Farkas, and Gabor Madi Szabo. Note that poet Sandor Petofi is Hungary's best known poet, and his life had some unfortunate parallels to this movie, for he died in battle at a young age.
