Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Land Beyond the Law, the 1927 Harry Joe Brown silent cowboy western ("Story and adaptation by Marion Jackson") starring Ken Maynard, Dorothy Dwan, Tom Santschi, Noah Young, Gibson Gowland, and Billy Butts. Note that "Tarzan", Ken Maynard's horse, is not billed in this movie. We don't know if he appeared in it uncredited, but we do know that he had been in several Ken Maynard films prior to this one (he had been bought by Maynard for $50 in 1925, and after he was called "Tarzan" in a movie, Edgar Rice Burroughs threatened to sue Maynard, and they settled when Maynard agreed to have him billed as "Tarzan, The Wonder Horse", and he soon had permanent billing alongside Maynard, and he performed with Maynard for the next 15 years or so!) Condition: very good to fine. the poster was linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had tape stains in the corners and in the center of the borders (they extended into the edges of the yellow background area); the image area had only tiny holes at the crossfolds and was in excellent condition; the person who restored the poster put new paper over much of the blank borders (it was very expertly done and most people would not realize it unless it was specifically shown to them); the minor defects in the image area were well restored, and the poster looks wonderful!
