An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The City Under the Sea (released in the U.S. as "War Gods of the Deep"), the 1965 Jacques Tourneur English science fiction (sci-fi) scuba diving underwater city fantasy thriller ("They dared the most fantastic journey that has ever challenged imagination!"; "From Edgar Allan Poe's 'City in the Sea'"; "A fantastic journey to a lost empire one thousand fathoms beneath the sea!") starring Vincent Price, Tab Hunter, Susan Hart, David Tomlinson ("as Harold Tiffin Jones"), and John Le Mesurier NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Reynold Brown Condition: very good. The poster had the most minor of wear along the foldlines. There was a tiny pair of staple holes in the top of the image (one in Price's nose and one in his cheek next to it). There was a small circular area of paper loss in the left of the middle fold. There were pinholes in the corners and some minor border wear. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster). Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Learn More about condition grades
