If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that there are many unmarked re-releases of this poster that are often mistakenly sold as original. But this poster is the rare original 1943 release one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss and separation on parts of several folds. It had pinholes around the edges, some enlarged. It had grease pencil writing on the back of the upper right, and some of it bled through to the front in the yellow area. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
