An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Not of This Earth, the 1957 Roger Corman science fiction (sci-fi) alien invasion monster horror thriller ("Somewhere in this world stalks a thing that is... Not of This Earth"; about an alien from a planet that is dying after nuclear war who comes to Earth by himself in search of transporting back huge quantities of human blood, which is necessary for them to survive, and he must obtain blood while he is here, which he does so by killing people!) starring Paul Birch, Beverly Garland, Morgan Jones, Russell Johnson, William Roerick, Jonathan Haze, and Dick Miller NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). There was tiny paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds and some small tears in the left of the middle foldline. There were a few small staple holes and tiny tears around the edges of the poster. The person who linenbacked the poster pretty much just backed it without restoration, but it really didn't need any, and if the above very minor defects bothered the new owner, it would be easy for additional restoration to be performed. Note that the linen backing this poster has had has very slightly "rippled" (perhaps because it was removed from the stretcher before the poster had a chance to fully dry). I would think most people could easily accept this poster as is and display it on their wall, but others might only be happy if it was re-backed, to eliminate the slight rippling.
