A 1972 Re-Release (re-titled "Soul Soldier" for this re-release) Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Red, White and Black, the 1970 John 'Bud' Cardos black African American blaxploitation Civil War action thriller starring Robert DoQui, Isaac Fields, Barbara Hale, Rafer Johnson, Lincoln Kilpatrick, Isabel Sanford, Janee Michelle, and Cesar Romero. Note that this film had a premiere in Los Angeles in 1970, but we are unsure if it had a limited or wide release. We suspect it was a very limited release because we have never seen any movie paper under the original title (our billing order above comes from a 1970 review). In 1972, the film was re-titled to Soul Soldier and had a wide release with Rafer Johnson 1st billed, and in 1975 it was re-titled again to Black Cavalry and posters did not bill Johnson at all but listed previously 6th billed Isabel Sanford as "Star of 'The Jeffersons'" (which started in 1975). Further, the film was rated GP in 1970 and 1972, but it was rated R in 1975. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
