It's a spectacle light years ahead of its time from 20th Century Fox."; "Written and Directed by George Lucas"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Peter Cushing (as Grand Moff Tarkin), Alec Guinness (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Obi-Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (as C-3PO), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), David Prowse (billed as "Dave Prowse"; as the man inside the Darth Vader suit!), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), and Phil Brown (as Uncle Owen) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was issued in two different ways in 1977. One poster (the poster auctioned here) was a regular teaser poster, with a black background and grey text and borders. The other looks exactly the same, except the "W" in "Star Wars" has points at the bottom, which is only seen in very early promotional material, and the poster was printed on a foil coated paper with the black printed over the foil! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. The poster has fine surface paper loss along portions of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this time period) and some minor separation in each crossfold (with tiny paper loss in the upper two crossfolds). There are some light and fine creases in a few areas and there are some partial vertical creases above the bottom crossfold. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays well!
