Date Sold 11/26/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Bromo and Juliet, the 1926 Leo McCarey stage comedy short ("The moon wasn't half as full as Charley was."; produced by Hal Roach; the title is a parody of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" of course, and this slapstick short has Charley Chase as a young man putting on a play version of Romeo & Juliet, with his fiancee in the lead, and there are several subplots, one involving Charley's dad who has had too much to drink, and another with a cab driver, played by Oliver Hardy, who just can't seem to get paid) starring Charley Chase (primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts), Corliss Palmer, William H. Orlamond, Oliver Hardy, and L.J. O'Connor NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned these two scene lobby cards! Condition: very good to fine. The rare scene cards are in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind!
