An Autographed 4 1/4" x 6" [11 x 15 cm] Album Page (Learn More) Arthur Lake was an actor from the 1910s to the 1950s, and starred as Dagwood Bumstead in the very popular long-running series of Blondie movies adapted from the newspaper comic strip. Some of his movies include: Blondie's Lucky Day, Double Danger, and I Cover Chinatown AND Penny Singleton was an actress from the 1930s to the 1990s, who starred as Blondie in the very popular long-running series of movies adapted from the newspaper comic strip. Some of her movies include: The Best Man, After the Thin Man, The Mad Miss Manton, Hard to Get, and many more! Note that she also provided the voice of Jane Jetson for the popular Hanna-Barbera TV cartoon show, "The Jetsons"! Important Added Info: This album page has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Arthur Lake (he drew a picture of Dagwood from the Blondie comics!) AND Penny Singleton (each person signed one side of the page)! It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display (of course, the new owner would have to choose which side to display!). Our consignor inherited this from his uncle who lived in Hollywood in the 1940s, and he went to many events that celebrities attended (like sneak previews), and he would try to get autographs from the stars who appeared. In the case of this album page, the uncle obviously went to an event (likely in the 1940s) where both stars appeared, and they each signed his autograph album for him. Our consignor does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we think it is very likely the signatures are authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
