An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Jailhouse Rock, the classic 1957 Richard Thorpe rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) crime prison romantic musical ("His first big dramatic singing role!"; about a young man who is sent to prison for manslaughter, and while there he is helped to become a singer/musician by an older convict, and after he is released, he becomes a major rock star!) starring Elvis Presley ("At His Greatest"), Judy Tyler (who sadly died in an auto accident before the release of the film), Mickey Shaughnessy, Dean Jones, Jennifer Holden, and Anne Neyland NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bradshaw Crandell Condition: very good to fine. The poster had tiny surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines and some very minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and looks great. There is a tiny area in the right of the top foldline (in Elvis' hair, just above his sideburn), where there was tiny surface paper loss, but any restorer could touch it up in no time, without re-backing the poster.
