An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Night Patrol, the 1926 Noel M. Smith (billed as "Mason Noel") silent Los Angeles California romantic undercover cop crime melodrama ("Story by Frank Howard Clark") starring Richard Talmadge, Rose Blossom, Mary Carr, Gardner James, and Josef Swickard. Note that Richard Talmadge was born "Sylvester Alphonse Metz", and he was an acrobat with the Barnum and Bailey Circus. He got a job in Hollywood as a stuntman for Douglas Fairbanks Sr., and then graduated to starring in movies, always performing lots of stunts. He had two acrobat brothers, Otto Metzetti and Victor Metz, who appeared with him in some of his movies. Also note that Mary Carr became a major star in the mid 1910s around the age of 40, playing the parts of saintly mothers. She continued to make movies (switching to grandmother roles) through the mid 1930s, and then continued with mostly uncredited parts until the mid 1950s. She passed away in 1973 at the age of 99! We have only auctioned a single one-sheet from this movie until we received this title lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There are a few faint scuffs around the edges. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
